My Word for the Year

As a communicator, I understand and appreciate the power words have. Have you ever thought about the power a single word can have on your life? Typically, in December, I choose a word to help focus and guide me over the next twelve months. While the practice hasn't changed my life, I can attest to how it's improved it. My word for 2026 is "REFIRE." To discover why, click the image or "My Word of the Year" above.

Everyone has a story. . .

Here's a chapter of mine. While the pandemic in 2020 raged, I found myself fighting for my life. Luckily for me, the marvels of medical science, the support of a loving community and the power of prayer make a formidable combination in the fight against cancer.

Pour a cup of coffee or take a walk with me and listen to my personal cancer journey.

My manifesto

We all live our lives, but few of us make time to reflect and articulate what we stand for.

A personal manifesto is a set of statements that make up the rules for your life. It's a touchstone that connects you with what you feel is important.

“Wisdom surrounds us. While the words of others inspire. . . we give those words meaning and it's up to us to take action. Be the architect of your life. Build its foundation and choose its contents.”
