Communication Touch

A good idea can still die in a conference room when the slides bury the message.

Communication Touch is a free guide to presenting a project or idea so it lands. I built it during my years in corporate internal communications, for leaders who had something worth saying and too many bullets standing in the way.

Answer five questions before you open a slide

Why communicate? Who are you talking to? What do they need to hear? What’s the story line? What are your key messages? Settle those first, and the slides almost build themselves.

Turn the outline into a story

The guide shows two simple ways to storyboard. Build it around who, what, when, where, why, and how, or write slide titles that carry the argument on their own. Either way, your audience can follow the thread.

Make the message stick

  • Give each slide one idea, and the clutter disappears.
  • Make numbers mean something. A storage spec becomes memorable when it’s enough music to reach the moon and back.
  • Use the power of three. Tell them what you’ll say, say it, then tell them what you said.

Sound like a real person talking

Friendly, straightforward, and honest wins the room. You’ll also find tips for remote presentations, like talking instead of reading and asking questions that pull people in.

Who it’s for

Leaders, project owners, and the communicators who support them. It’s a quick read, and it’s worth keeping open the next time you build a deck.

Be clear. Be kind. Lead with Light! ✨
